NIGHT SCRAWLERS: Creatures That Lurk
Oct 24 – Nov 1, 2026
Shintani Gallery • 700 Lansdowne Ave, Toronto
Opening: Oct 24 • 6–9pm
Night Scrawlers: Creatures That Lurk brings together nine artists whose practices are shaped by street art, illustration, and contemporary visual culture.
The exhibition explores creatures as a starting point for imagination, storytelling, and artistic expression. From mythical and fantastical beings to strange creatures born entirely from the artists’ own imaginations, each artist approaches the theme through their own distinctive style and visual language.
While the title nods to the raw, expressive spirit of the “scrawler,” the exhibition is ultimately about the artists and the worlds they create — inviting viewers to look closer and discover what lurks within them.
